One day.
Three lives.
Twenty five
years later.
An Oral History of 9/11 from those that lived it.
In Their Words
Behind each film is a person whose life continued long after September 11. These portraits introduce the voices at the center of the series and the experiences they carried forward.
About
the Series
Unbroken Echoes is an oral-history documentary series built around a simple belief: history lives not only in the public record, but in the private lives it continues to shape.
Across three intimate films, survivors and family members remember September 11 in their own words. They describe what happened that morning, what followed, and how grief, duty, memory, and recovery change over time. We made the series to preserve those firsthand stories with restraint, honesty, and the space to be heard.
About the
Filmmakers
Unbroken Echoes was developed at Pure Cinema by executive producers Luke McCain and Ryan Knight, longtime collaborators with a shared belief that personal testimony deserves time, restraint, and care.
Producer Emily Pacillo Kern helped guide the project from its earliest conversations. Director of photography Jamie Allender created the intimate visual language of the interviews, while editors Kyle Bronson and Ryan Knight shaped each film around the cadence of the participants’ own words.
